1. Complete a thorough Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with all of the required levels for your project. Choose a numbering scheme for traceability. You can use Microsoft Visio or Project to draw the simple boxes and connectors for the WBS.
2. Complete a WBS dictionary with details of each work package; I strongly suggest you use Excel for this as it will make a couple of future assignments a bit easier.
3. Create a PERT/CPM diagram. Include the D, ES, LS, EF, LF, and S for each activity. Draw the diagram by hand.
3. Review your WBS and PERT/CPM with your team sponsor or project owner.
