20th Century Design Case Study on The Streamlined Decade by Donald Bush

Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements

The objectives of this assignment are:
•The familiarization with an event, a designer or an artifact that was an important part of industrial design history in the 20th century;
•The analysis of the chosen 20th century event, designer or artifact using the elements of The Design Triad as the basis for the analysis while paying special attention to the many interfaces; and
•The explication of the event as a case study.

Your case study will take the form of a written description, analysis and summary of the learning experience of the chosen 20th century event, designer or artifact. The following sections must be included in your case study:
• Part 1: A written description of the 20th century event, designer or artifact that you have selected. This should be presented in the form of a concise yet precise narrative, often called an executive summary;
• Part 2: A written description of the 20th century event, designer or artifact using the elements of The Designing Triad – with special attention to the interfaces – as the framework for the analysis;
• Part 3: A written summary of the learning experience garnered from the 20th century event, designer or artifact from your perspective, with a special focus on what we have learned (e.g. What do we know now that we didn’t know before?) as well as several significant lessons learned that can be applied in the future.
• Visual information such as photographs and diagrams, as necessary and as required, should also be included in the case study.
• Accurate citations and/or references from credible and reputable sources must be provided. When citing a web page, you must provide the date when it was accessed.
• In total, the case study should be no fewer than 2,000 words in length but no more than 5,000 words. There is no specific word requirement for each of the three aforementioned parts.
Provide a word count at the end of the case study.
