Haidt (p 184) illustrates the idea that social space is spanned by three dimensions: hierarchy, divinity, and closeness. Describe as precisely as possible what each of these three dimensions involves. What examples can you provide of the extremes of each of these dimensions. Does Haidt propose any specific operational definitions of the dimensions? What possibilities can you imagine for measuring where a person is located on each of these dimensions at any given moment?
