Identify three categories of comparison and provide a specific example from the history of early modern empires for EACH category. Discourses and debates about rights as a universal human concern first emerged in the early modern world. Compare and contrast how the following disparate group of individuals defined and applied the concept of “rights:” the Marquis de Condorcet, the authors of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen, Frederick Douglass, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Give some consideration to the unique and shared features of the contexts in which each document was produced.
