A Critical Analysis of Generalized Reciprocity

Spaced throughout the semester, there are critical analysis papers that are required. These critical analysis papers will be your attempt to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of some aspect of Evolutionary Psychology that you feel should be discussed. These papers may focus on some aspect of middle-level theories or specific hypothesis, or may be focused on one specific study. Regardless, you should go to the source material (the actual source of the subject of your critique) and critically discuss the strengths and flaws as you see them. These papers should be between 3-4 pages, double spaced, with the work referenced in APA style.The grading of these papers will be based on clarity, thoughtfulness, quality of writing (proofread your work please!), relevance, and quality of critical assessment to the topic you have chosen. The topic I chose to focus on was Hamiltion’s Theory. Make sure to define Hamiltion’s rule and its tie with evolution. The point of the article is to analyze it and to tie it back to evolutionary perspectives. How does this article’s topic link to evolution? This article is focusing on the mid-level theory of generalized reciprocity. Critique the article – the experiment most importantly – it’s limitations, weaknesses, and strengths.
