Introduction
The purpose of this assignment is to learn how to solve a complicated problem. In this assignment, you will create and submit a list of 10 activities to include in a timeline of activities and resources used when managing or solving a crime. Additional items can be added, when you compile a timeline that will be submitted in Week 4.

Activity Instructions
Review the Excel tutorial appropriate for your version of Microsoft Office for information on how to create a timeline using Excel. The completed timeline is due in Week 4. This week you will begin the process of creating the timeline shell in MS Excel and listing events that you would recommend.

The specific assignment this week is for you to list some of the activities that you will be placing into your timeline. You must have at least 10 activities this week. Examples may include call a meeting between the various crime analysts in the cities where the crimes have occurred or to call for a press conference, hold a meeting with other analysts, recommend a press release, contact crime stoppers, update a crime bulletin and send it out, etc.

This exercise will require you to use common sense and all of the resources available to help in solving the cases. I want you to be very specific about what you will be doing, when you will do it and how it will be done.

Submit your list of 10 activities in as a Word document.

Additional points will be assigned in Week 4 when the final timeline assignment is due.
