Positive and negative stereotypes of aging can lead society and individuals to neglect issues and needs that are fundamental for quality of life in older adulthood. Discuss how such stereotypes, social biases, and misinformation impact older adults’ relationships, particularly in terms of multi-generational relationships, elder abuse, and sexuality.

The timing and outcomes of retirement choices impact individuals, professions, and society at large. In light of the information you have learned this module, propose and discuss priorities for education and policy regarding work and retirement by older adults.

Societal avoidance of death issues leads to various misunderstandings regarding how to prepare for and respond to death and dying. Design and describe an educational intervention or program which might help to alleviate one specific such misunderstanding.
