We have now covered the main aspects of the Roman Empire. In approxiamately 300-500 words (about 1 1/2 pages – 2 pages) write a response to the following scenario:
Imagine you are transported back in time to ancient Rome (based on the reading you decide when and where in ancient Rome). When and where in ancient Rome would you go to and why? Would you go to one of the colonies or stay in Rome? What would you do? Who would you talk with? What would you ask? Would you engage in any of the battles you learned about? Would you engage in philosophical debate? Would you use your knowledge of the future and try to change the past, or would you not let anyone know you were from the future? This is an opportunity for you to pretend you are part of the Roman Empire for a brief moment. Write about what you would do.
