. Identify at least two separate examples of non-Western cultures that have been transformed by globalization after World War II.

1. Describe in detail what the circumstances were within each of these cultures both prior to and after the influence of globalization.

B. Analyze one of the examples from part A. Be sure to discuss the following questions:

1. What caused the influence of globalization in one of the two examples presented in Part A? (For example, perhaps it resulted from the U.S. government making a conscious effort to improve the agricultural technology of a particular country.)

2. Was the influence of globalization a direct or indirect process, what were the intentional or unintentional outcomes, and was the influence of globalization positive or negative for the non-Western society? (Remember that the ramifications and outcomes of influences are rarely simple. They impact different aspects of culture differently.)

3. Briefly discuss the non-Western society’s response to the influence of globalization.
