Antigone Creative Paper

Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements

The purpose of this short paper is to demonstrate your understanding of Antigone, including its narrative,
its themes, and its style. Students may choose one of two options.

Write a letter to the dead characters in Kreon’s voice that details the lessons he’s learned.
• If writing a letter, it should be written in prose (paragraphs).
• If writing a scene, include stage directions along with dialogue.
• Be creative. Be thoughtful. Proofread.

Regardless of which option you choose your paper must…
1. … be a minimum of 800 words.
2. … be double-spaced, use a 12-pt font, and 1-inch margins
3. … demonstrate your understanding of the text – your grade will largely come from how effectively
you engage with and understand the source material.
4. … be proofread carefully for spelling, grammar, and mechanics.
5. … be turned in as a digital copy to the turnitin link on ANGEL. Emailed submissions WILL NOT be
accepted.
6. … be completely original to you. Plagiarism will earn an automatic zero on the assignment
