argue for Johnny F.Sale
Johnny F. Sale is a junior at
Murray State University. Sale is the star quarterback for the Murray State Racers football team. Per NCAA rules, Sale is an
amateur student athlete and will be ineligible to compete if he profits from his athletic ability while enrolled. The NCAA is a
national governing body for collegiate athletics. The NCAA profits from the television revenue when Sale and the Racers are on TV. The
NCAA uses pictures and video of Sale to
promote upcoming events. The NCAA even sells pictures, video, and jerseys with Sale’s # 2 on their website. Sale wants to be able to sell his name, picture and likeness while he is enrolled and still be allowed to compete.
The paper will argue for Johnny F. Sale. Must use at lease 3 cases(the higher the court and the more recent decision the better) and two other sources(5 total). You are to write this to an audience that is not familiar with the law. You may assume the reader knows the facts but you need to show the facts can be argued and positioned persuasively.
Must describe the facts, identify the issues, state the rules, apply the facts in detail to the rules, address the the counter argument, and state a persuasive conclusion.
