PREPARE AN OVERVIEW OF THE BANKING SECTOR OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: MALAYSIA, PHILIPPINES, THAILAND, INDIA OR INDONESIA.  MENTION YOUR SOURCES.

NOTE: Imagine that you are working as the assistant to a bank’s president.  He informs you that the bank is planning to expand into another Asian country, and asks you to prepare a short report which gives an overview of the banking sector of that country describing the country’s various categories of financial institutions and their functions.  There is no need to cover the securities and insurance sectors or to give any recommendations. Your report should be clear, concise and well-organized.  It must also contain information that is as up-to-date as possible, obtained via the internet or other sources.
