“FASHION PARADISE: Understanding Customer’ Profile”

Fashion Paradise is a fashion store at Paragon shopping mall Singapore. Mike, the store manager decided to conduct a market research in order to understand the customer’ profile. There were 288 shoppers participated in the study and it was conducted in 10 days.

Questions:

• What type of data are gender, age, number of people accompanying shopping, number of times visiting the store, satisfaction level, the amount of money spent in the store and the amount of time spent in the store? You have to provide reasons for each answer.

• You have to analyse each type of data starting from gender to the amount of time spent in the store, using descriptive statistics. Relevant descriptive statistics should be utilized for each variable.

• You have to perform cross-tabulation analysis between age & the amount of money spent in the store; number of people accompanying shopping & the amount of money spent in the store and number of times visiting the store & the amount of money spent in the store. What are the findings?

• You have to analyse the relationship between the amount of money spent at the store and the amount of time spent at the store. The correlation coefficient and the interpretation of the coefficient should be provided.

• You have to develop frequency tables and histogram for the amount of money spent at the store and the amount of time spent at the store. The normality of the data should be justified.
