Dear Students,

Attached are the 3 papers to be read before commencing participation in the Discussion Board for Assessment 2 – The Case Study.

Please note the following:

Paper 1: Hafner-Burton (2005) – read pp.593-614

Paper 2: Cohen & Dudai (2007) – read pp.229-240

Paper 3: Bell & Carens (2004) – read pp.300-320

To complete this assessment students need to:

1. Read the Case Study Guide (students need to read the most recent Guide that is up-loaded today 31/3/15)

2. Read the Case Study Papers

3. Choose preferred Case Study

4. Join the Appropriate Thread for your chosen Case Study in your tutorial group’s Discussion Board

5. Complete 3 substantive postings (Substantive refers to the quality of the posting. A limit is not being placed on the length of the postings but they must clearly indicate engagement with the literature, understanding of central concepts and critical thinking – referencing is not required in the posts. Students must also submit screen shots/copies of their postings as an Appendix to the written submission)

6. Upon closure of the Discussion Board students are to prepare the written submission (750 words) which needs to be referenced, submitted to Turnitin and a hard copy submitted by the due date 5:00pm Friday 24 April 2015
