In a 3 to 5 page paper (not including title page and reference page ), address the principle issues demonstrated by the client related to co-occurring disorders, complete a clinical risk assessment and harm reduction plan for Ken after listening to the Ken Case Study audio. Use the readings from Units 1, 2 and 3 and at least three academic sources form the Kaplan Library. Academic sources of information include peer reviewed journal articles (published within the last 5 years) as well as textbooks and other academic related books. Your paper should follow assignment directions (review the grading rubric for best results); use correct APA formatting per the APA Publication Manual, 6th Edition, demonstrate college-level communication through the composition of original materials in Standard American English, and be clear, specific, and error-free. Ken is a 17 year old Caucasian male. He is the oldest of four children. He has two brothers (14 and 11 years old) and a 9 year old sister. Both of his parents had drinking problems. When Ken’s mother was hospitalized for heart surgery, Ken’s father was unable to function. Ken became the father and mother to his younger brothers and sisters. Over the course of one month, Ken began to feel an underlying uneasiness and insecurity that would not go away. Before long, Ken began using alcohol and it seemed to have tranquilizing effects – at least initially. Soon however, Ken became restless and easily distracted. He began having difficulty in school and fights with his friends. When seen by the psychology professional, Ken was sleeping very little, eating very little, and presented himself in a combative manner.
