Project description
In Writing Project 3, we learned you have been retained by real estate developer Donald Duck to manage public relations surrounding a $40 million development project in East Lansing, Mich. Ducks development company, Duck Dynasty, is purchasing a four-block parcel in downtown East Lansing where it plans construction of a 15-story mixed-use development that will include high-end condos, a six-screen movie theater, and retail and restaurant space. Details of the transaction and associated construction plan can be found in the US14 Scenario Background Brief.

In Writing Project 4, you developed a social media news release to announce this news to the online media. Your task now is to develop a traditional news release to announce this news to the traditional media.

Your traditional news release must be prepared in the format described in your textbook and include all of the style elements covered in class. In addition to basic formatting requirements, your SMNR must also include at least one quote each from Donald Duck and East Lansing Mayor Nathan Triplett. Other considerations:

Remember the inverted pyramid.
Remember that you can invent quotes for your speakers. In this case, you have no choice.
Remember who your target audience is.
Remember the news voice and attribution.
