Please read The “Deposition of Richard Hart” that appears in Chapter 8 of your text book (Exhibit 8:10). In the Fifth Edition, this appears on pages 342-347.

You work for Arthur White, Esq., who represents the plaintiff, William Forrester.

Mr. White asks you to complete the following tasks:

1) Prepare a digest of the deposition for Mr. White, summarizing the key answers and information that you can obtain from that deposition.

2) Please prepare a memorandum explaining to Mr. White the ways in which our case can be bolstered from the answers that Mr. Hart gave.

3) Please discuss some steps that might be taken during discovery to investigate some of the claims made by Mr. Hart that are harmful to the plaintiff’s case.
