COMPARE AND CONTRAST CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBLIGATIONS UNDER NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LAW
Project description
1.This research paper seeks to compare and contrast various differences that exist in both national and international law as it pertains to corporations legal and
social obligations.
2.Besides, this paper will also bring to bear why in domestic law, it has long been accepted that legal persons such as companies have legal, corporate, soci-economic
responsibilities, and obligations – for instance under labor and environmental law, companies may be held liable for breaches of these obligations. In fact, companies
cannot be imprisoned but in most states they can be sentenced to other criminal sanctions such as fines.
3. However, under international law, there is no general rule that companies are responsible for their internationally wrongful acts. For obvious reasons, it cannot be
assumed that multinational corporations have the same obligations as states or even as individuals, even if developments appear to go in that direction.
4. This is a Business Law research paper so the issues discussed here should be supported by the appropriate data and highlight the pivotal points associated therewith
and as well reflect the business aspect of the law.
5. All citations must be from peer reviewed academic articles/journals/books/sources, but not from Wikipedia and must be cited in APA format.
