Introduction:
-Accounting and many roles in society( references to Solomon and Tinker for example), language in accounting
– accountant – constructing financial statement- why for who what is its role
– True and fair view – free from bias – accountant should be like journalist( Solomon)
– For users to help with decision making.
– financial assumption, principles, theoretical ideas. Financial statement socialy constructed utilising theoretical ideas.
MAIN BODY:
– conceptual framework at least 2 to compare them. (everywhere references-essay should be based on others ideas as it is critically evaluate)
– historical approach : SSAP2 from 1971- include consistency , accrual, prudence, objectivity, duality, going, realisation, materiality, measurement
How accounting should work in society-different in practice=> analogy, metaphors, accounting theory, TESCO , banks and any others
UK v USA- impossible possibility
