Consider a community of which you are a part and the three ethics that Haidt discusses: autonomy, community, and divinity (p 188). Describe one or two norms that exist in your community with respect to each of these ethics. What are the typical consequences in your community for someone who violates these norms. Are these consequences the primary reason that members of the community typically follow the norm? If no, what alternative explanations for their behaviour are possible?
