Identify an organization with compensation or benefits challenges. It could be an organization with which you are familiar personally or through the media.
Provide a detailed review of the compensation and/or benefit challenge (problem) at the organization. It is recommended that you concentrate on the principle compensation and/or benefit challenge(s) within a single organization, rather than a number of less important issues. Be careful to avoid selecting a topic that is too broad. At the same time, the challenge facing the organization should be broad enough to provide multiple strategies to help resolve the problem.
Discuss the compensation and/or benefits strategies other organizations have utilized related to your challenge, along with a review of their success and failure. As an example, if you are interested in an employee assistance program and why usage is less than expected, detail the strategies other organizations have followed to improve participation and see a return on their investment. Information regarding other organizations should be gathered through a research process and consist with academic-quality materials rather than word-of-mouth information.
Recommend the strategy you propose the organization should follow to address its compensation and/or benefit challenge. Explain why you have selected this strategy. Include research (theory) to substantiate your selection.
Discuss impediments to this strategy, including any contingency plans that should be considered.
Finally, detail how the strategy you propose would address the organization’s challenge (as detailed in step 2 above) and its impact on both the organization and the employee. Include specific items that should be included in the action plan.

With the increasing problems that exist with childcare centers, parents are usually a bit skeptical as to the people they leave their children with as they try their level best to earn a living. This has been a huge contributor to absenteeism, loss of focus in the organization, work days being cut short amongst other reasons that affect performance. Companies, for example Google, have tapped into the benefits that exist with offering child care services to their employees. However in the United States, only 7% of companies offer children on-site day care programs for their employees (Alsever, 2013).
Facebook on the other hand is an organization that does not offer child care services to its employees. Considering the revenue margins that the company attain on an annual basis, it comes as a shock as to why they fail to offer child care benefit programs to their employees. In its new premises, the company has established multiple amenities including a day care for dogs at the expense of a day care for children. In as much as they offer subsidies in relation to child care costs and significant parental leave, the absence of an on-site child care program can be said to have an adverse effect especially on the female employees’ performance levels. In addition to the above that is said to be their ‘defense’ as to why they lack child care services, the company boasts of its multiple perks that it offers to its employees in their new housing compound (Kolhatkar, 2013).
The company managers need to assess how vital on-site child care programs are to their employees and their morale at the workplace. This is because it might be a significant issue as the organization has numerous female employees and can be useful in even cost savings.
