Situational Leadership allows nurse leaders in ER ward and nurses to cooperate as real team in order to achieve their aims by sharing responsibilities and being more independent. That leads to increase productivity and enhance outcomes. Therefore, there would be a strong relationship between nursing staff and the leader because he/ she always supports and motivates the team. It might be a satisfied method for both of nurse manager and staff because it allows them to discuss their opinion as an effective team. Situational Leadership provides opportunities to look for directing and support which maintains respect and self-esteem and it encourages leaders and their teams to make a method to discuss the members’ needs in effective manner. In fact, Situational leadership could be extremely helpful for nurse manager because it assists him/her to determine development level of each member in the team and find out their weakness and strengths points through using the model of Situational Leadership theory.  When it is used in ER ward, a leader can categorize team members according to their abilities. As a result of that, the leader will identify the amount of support and direction for each member. The leader ought to give a task for each member regarding to their ability and experience in order to decrease the medical errors in ER ward. Nurse Leader may have a professional system to give a certain task for each nurse in the team beyond their essential jobs. Furthermore, Situational Leadership can present an opportunity to nursing members to become more confident and to rely on themselves in making decisions because they know what they are supposed to do in different situations. That might lead to prevent delaying any tasks or procedures because the time is very valuable for both of nursing staff in ER and patients.

According to Smith,V (2013) scientific management was used to study a work scientifically to identify best methods to accomplish tasks through selecting best workers, paying them regarding their professional value and applying manager’s plans. Administrative management is concentrated on achieve organisational aims by having valuable goals, making good plans, arranging work and regulating functions (Smith,V, 2013). Bureaucray method is used to support the efficiency through systematical rules to cover the rights of workers and to deal with work situations. Situational leadership is used to increase productivity through an effective method to develop followers by supporting and directing (McCleskey, 2014). Transactional leadership refers to authority and it’s used to motivate followers by reward and punishment (Singer,& Singer, 1990). Transformational makes a huge influence in workers’ attitudes and increase their commitment for goals, strategies and outcomes. It demonstrates powerful relationship between leaders and followers (McCleskey, 2014). Servant relationship emphasises that leaders have powerful relationship with their followers by recognising their needs and assisting them to develop (Greenleaf,1977).

Power can be used in a constructive method when leaders concentrate on Hersey and Blanchard’s model because it identifies development stage for worker. Due to that leaders may use types of power with each member. (Blanchard,1985)
