New University students often travel from all over the world to purse their education, finding themselves in new, challenging and unfamiliar cultures and environments. As a result, new students sometimes experience ( culture shock ), which means they can be confused, amused, or disoriented by the unfamiliar things they experience in their new environment. These experience help us grow as individuals and learn about other cultures and ways of life.
Assignment:
write an essay about your most memorable culture shock experience. It can be about traveling to a new country for the first time, experiencing college life versus family life, or about meeting new people in a work environment. Be sure to do the following in your essay, as time allows:
1- Describe the event in detail, and be specific.
