A written essay on a current management and/or organizational issue. The primary objective of this requirement is to relate course concepts to real world examples and to examine the relevance of management concepts and theories in management practice. Find an article from the popular press (Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Fortune, Forbes, Economist – any issue after (not before) Jan 1st 2010) that addresses or relates to a concept or theory pertinent to this module (module/course name is “Principles of Organization and Management”). In the write-up, identify the concept or theory in the article and describe how it is used in this particular case. The paper will be marked on content (how and why the article illustrates the concept) and on form (structure, spelling, grammar, referencing). Do not just summarise the article. Refer to other sources where relevant. Plagiarism must be avoided.

– Any other sources that writer can refer to which should be related to the essay; the number of sources can be more than 12.
