Did Greek religious beliefs diminish or amplify the bellicosity of the Greeks
Knowledge:

socio-political complexity of Greek society;
• knowledge of the principal events and important themes in the political, cultural and social history of Archaic and
Classical Greece;
• familiarity with of a range of differing types of ancient evidence, and an awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of these different types of material.

• exercise of judgement in arriving at informed and well argued explanations and interpretations of complex data;
• formulation of hypotheses in accordance with evidence;
