1. The 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami have created many disaster related issues. Immediately after the tsunami, manufacturing entities stopped production for one to two weeks. Toyota had to shut down its plants due to issues with lack of power and rolling blackouts. Even though there are plants located in the U.S., parts were not available. What type of solutions would you have if you were in charge of this company?

2. The Japanese Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant suffered crippling damage from the earthquake and tsunami. The plant had major damage to its infrastructure, and radiation was released into the atmosphere. What issues should a power station consider when thinking about a business continuity plan?
