do beauty pageants lead to eating disorders and a lack of self esteem? Are beauty pageants based on looks or brains?

talk about the qualifications of a beauty contestant, how they contribute to society, how influencial they are on the younger girls, body issues, stress, does a queen really make a difference in society, the reality shows that are subjected around the pageants, where are the beauty queens of the last 20 years and the sucide rate of the one’s that don’t win.
How much it costs to enter a contest, diet and excersice regiments…
Are they really based on looks or brains?
Why is “beauty” in the title if it is not based on looks?
How important is the swimsuite or evening gown compitition?
Can not being placed as a beauty queen lead to thearapy or mental health issues?
Why are mothers putting their girls through childrens pageants today and giving them these “energy drinks” to keep them going, then letting them crash and burn when they don’t place?
