Assessment Two – Data Analysis In the second half of the module we will move on to consider more complex datasets and analytical techniques.
The second assessment will be a report on your analysis of a particular sociological or criminological issue based on data from one such dataset.
Two datasets will be provided via VITAL:
Your report should analyse the relationship between two, or more, variables from either one of these datasets. The mark you receive for this piece of work will take into account the following questions:
– Is there an appropriate rationale, based on relevant literature, for the selection of the variables chosen for analysis?
– Is analysis appropriate, accurate and clearly presented? Has any manipulation of the data been carried out in an appropriate fashion and clearly explained?
– Are relationships measured and discussed in a clear and accurate manner?
– Are statistical measures correctly interpreted? You are not required to consider any other datasets in the preparation of this assessment, but if you do provide relevant data from other sources to contextualise/add to your findings, you may receive a higher overall mark.
Place an order in 3 easy steps. Takes less than 5 mins.
