Many early Americans were inspired by the American creed that all men are created equal. This philosophy and new resources attracted immigrants. New immigrants meant more population and thus additional opportunities for business. This contributed to a strong entrepreneurial spirit in the United States, which created incredible growth over the next 200 years.

The establishment of a central or national bank, made possible by the Constitution, supported the businessmen, merchants, and craftsmen. The National Bank also strengthened the Constitution.
