For an organisation of your choice, such as the University of South Wales or your place of work, and in groups of 3 or 4 (IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF A GROUP YOU WILL BE DEDUCTED 25% OF MARKS):
For this we choose the organization of Qatar petroleum (halul island) and I will send you a pdf which contain Environmental impact assessment for a project in the island just to give you an idea about the activities.
Anyway the environmental is already chosen by me which is solid waste management and I devided into 3 sections which you are going to discuss them in task number 1:
•    Construction waste: (wood, concrete, rocks and excavation waste).
•    General domestic waste: from worker and staff (plastic, cans, paper, cloths).
•    Industrial and production waste: waste form because of different process such as treatment, storage and transporting of crude (metals, sludge and naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM)).
Based on those three points start to write the report about them according to task 1 (a,b,c,d and e)
1-     (55% marks) Discuss and evaluate 3 ways to minimise (if negative) or maximise (if positive) the environmental impact. This should be/include:
a.    About 2000 words in total and in Microsoft Word format (i.e. a file ending with .doc or .docx).
b.    A description of the improvement measures.
c.    A discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of each measure.
d.    A fully costed evaluation of the measures – including payback period.
