Task

Select 3 different sources of information relevant to the topic of ergonomics and work-related musculoskeletal problems in sonographers. The sources should include:
• a chapter from a book (may be your text or a Reading from a text for this or another course);
• a journal article;
• a web site – this could be a professional website, a discussion page or a manufacturer’s website (see http://resource.unisa.edu.au/course/view.php?id=186 for quick links to some useful websites)
Summarise the information in these sources, including the following as a total for the assignment – not for each individual source:
• 3 direct quotes (including at least one quote of 40 words or more);
• 3 examples of paraphrasing;
• one table, figure or image that has been taken directly from a source;
• a brief critical appraisal of how the information from these sources concurs or contrasts with each other and with your own personal professional experience;
• a reference list that has been correctly formatted according to the Harvard referencing style
Note: This should be written as a cohesive essay with an introduction, headings summarising the key points and a conclusion, not as 3 discrete summaries of individual sources with no critical appraisal.
