Order Description

Write a well organized, thought out explication of Langston Hughes’ “Mother to Son”

1) Read the poem and think about persona and tone, poetic language (i.e.- connotation and denotation, metaphor, simile, personification, imagery, etc.) and poetic form
2) Discuss the presence of these elements in Langston Hughes’ “Mother to Son”
3) Refer to any similarities (Structure, theme, etc) to the song “Moving Mountains” by Usher.
