FINANCIAL INCENTIVES IN PERFORMANCE OF TASKS IN MANAGEMENT ACCOUNT

2.    Research objectives, question, hypotheses, data sources, methodology:

Research Objectives
1.    Determine the key motivators by conducting a comprehensive review of laboratory studies on financial incentives to create an utter understanding of the subject.
2.    Examining the relations between certain tasks and the parallel incentives relative to it hence establish the different variables linked to task performance.
3.    Evaluate task performance in a general perspective by considering variations such as the complexity of task and the skills that certain individuals hold to determine at what juncture or level financial incentives apply.
4.    Evaluate past empirical evidence suggesting that financial incentives are not core facilitators of improved performance by examining variable that interact with the incentives relative to their effect on task performance.

Research Questions/ Hypotheses
1.    How does information on management accounting act as a motivator for leaders or staff members in improving their productivity?
2.    How does performance or productivity of managers and employees associate with compensation as a key facilitator of improved operations in different firms?
3.    How do financial incentives form a motivation platform that encourages individuals to put on more effort hence improving their performance on tasks?

Methodology
a.    Introduction
This chapter discusses research methodology used in this study namely the research design, study site, target population, sample size, sampling method and procedures, instruments of data collection, ethical consideration and data analysis methods. The rationale of the methodology entails mixed methods with quantitative and qualitative approaches applying as per the two methods reflected in the data collection section.
b.    Research Design
The study will use descriptive survey design and variables that require proper identification lay ground for the formulation of a hypothesis whose testing will apply using the available methods. Quantitative techniques of data analysis will also be primal in the methodology especially in establishing a substantial basis for discussions relative to the desired results. This research methodology depends heavily on information on tasks and the overall performance by selected individuals; moreover, comparison of performances is also significant in establishing the different variables relative to financial incentives. It uses in-depth interviews and discussions between employees and managers.
c.    Data Sampling
Sampling techniques involve non- probability which will be adopted in this study to draw the sample from the population. Collection of data will be from surveys, edited and coded in preparation of data analysis. Additional desk study will assist in obtaining independent information that will help in supporting the hypothesis.
d.    Data collection
The research will apply two methods of data collection in the process of conducting this study. Methods will use both primary and secondary sources data. We shall use questionnaires as instruments of data collection especially in acquiring the overall perception of accounting tasks. There will be an internet search using the commonly known search engines like Google, with initial search focusing mainly on findings from past research on peer-reviewed articles and journal.
e.    Data analysis
This study will have qualitative data, and a different analysis of this data; where the qualitative be analyzed using the latest version of SPSS. Tables, charts and graphs will apply in the analysis of qualitative data.
