First Amendment and defamation: what are the limits when it comes to religious figures?

Order Description

I need a legal research paper that looks into the limits of “how far can one go to defame a religious figure.” Where is the line drawn when it comes to issues like these, what is permissible, and what is not? The answer should be heavily supported by legal cases, statutes, and precedents. The Paper should be written in law review or research/term paper style (citations and other references in footnotes), not memorandum of law or brief style (citations included within the body of the text). You should familiarize yourself with, and use, the Bluebook law review style for citations. Parallel cites in addition to an official reporter are not necessary.

To make you understand the meaning of my questions, consider the scenario below (But do not use it or reference it in the paper, this is just for you dear writer):

Your client entered into a contract with HBO to create a documentary about Jesus Christ. Over the course of the 2 years, he became convinced through his research that the man known as Jesus Christ actually had a homosexual relationship with his disciple, Peter. As a result of this research, your client has made a movie called “Gay Jesus,” which he has submitted to HBO to air on national television. A number of organizations have learned of the film’s content, and have pressured HBO not to show it. Your client’s contract says that HBO will show any film he produces, as long as it is about Jesus, and does not mention anything about screening its content for popularity / appropriateness. HBO decides not to show the film, and your client can’t find another distributor. Your client wants to file an injunction against HBO, requiring it to abide by terms of the contract and to air “Gay Jesus.” Does he have a 1st amendment argument in addition to its contract argument?
