Formal Systems Models

This assignment is aimed at assessing students’ understanding of business processes in the supply chain of the firm featured in the assignment, and as well as the role of the firm, its partners, and other organizations in the processes. This involves secondary research into relevant supply chain processes of similar real-life firms, so that students get an idea of the type of supply chain partners involved and the processes they engage in for value creation in the supply chain. Topics have been suggested by the course coordinator, or students can choose to work on companies that they have worked in, or are currently employed with. The format or the report will include diagrams and text describing business process models in the supply chain through which information and material flow. Modelling concepts include Formal Systems Models (FSM), Use Cases, and Value Stream maps. Where appropriate, flow charts can also be used.
