Homosexuality is a relationship between individuals or persons of the same sex or gender

that is between males, commonly referred to as gay relationships. It can also be regarded

as an individual’s sense of personal and social identity based on the attractions, behaviors

expressing them and membership in a community of others who share in the same

personality. However, many people more so the religious societies are opposed to this act

and behavior as it is seen as being unethical and at the same time sinful according to the

natural laws that govern the conduct and behavior of human beings. In addition, gay

of the 19th century there has been a movement towards increased consideration,

recognition and legal rights for gay people, including the rights to marriage, and civil

Looking at a brief history of gays in the U.S military, many ideologies and

controversies regarding the acceptance versus the prohibition of such relationships have

evolved in the past years to date. As of April 2011, homosexuals are banned from serving

in the U.S military though major steps have been taken to do away with the ban.

therefore one was not allowed to serve in whichever capacity if discovered. The first time
