Literature Review/Annotated Bibliography:

B) ANNOTATION
-This is a summary of the source in YOUR OWN WORDS. That means no quoting; you must paraphrase the main points. Each citation and annotation should take up about half a page. You need to do this for each of the 3 sources and have 2 pages, double spaced.

Example in APA format (journal article):
Bosse, J. (2008). Salsa dance and the transformation of style: An ethnographic study of movement and
meaning in cross-cultural context. Dance Research Journal, 40 (1), 45-64.

This article explores how salsa dancers in the mid-West adopted, changed and negotiated movement and meaning in salsa dance. Through ethnographic research, the author investigates how students experimented with different movement dialectics in the formation of a dance team. Bosse also examines how teachers communicated diverse body movements to students and adapted performance routines to suit various abilities. Among the students, the author finds a desire to participate and master what they perceive as authentic Latino/a movements. Through learning certain patterns, postures or formations, students communicated a desire to inhabit and experiment with certain aspects of Latino/a identity.
