For the research paper, you will select an organization that is currently using GIS and Spatial Analysis to support its business and conduct a GIS and Spatial Analysis audit. The Organization can be public, government or business. In your audit, you need to describe what the organization use GIS and Spatial Analysis for, how does GIS and Spatial Analysis helped the organization, what are the benefits of using GIS and Spatial Analysis, and what are the challenges of using GIS and Spatial Analysis. At the end of your analysis, you will provide your recommendations to management for future improvement.
The length of the research paper is between 12 to 14 pages excluding title page, bibliography, and appendixes). The paper must be submitted on the due date and be prepared according to APA format per NDNU School of Business and Management requirements. Unless previously arranged with instructor, late papers will incur a reduction of 20% from the grade that would otherwise have been given. The paper should follow the following format:
Title page
Introduction
• Provide brief description and summary of your research (up to 1 page).
Literature review
• Explain what research says about the material that will be presented in the paper
• Use at least six scholarly journal articles.
Main section(s)
• Provide a detail analysis of the organization of your choice and its relationship with GIS and Spatial Analysis.
• How does GIS and Spatial Analysis help the organization?
• What are the benefits of using GIS and Spatial Analysis?
• What are the challenges of using GIS and Spatial Analysis?
