For this graded assignment, you will create a presentation based on the teaching
plan you developed in the previous module and present it to your select client
group or as an in-service at work, to a church group, YMCA etc.. This individual
assignment can be in the form of a power point, brochure/trifold, poster, or power
point with voice over. This assignment accounts for 35% of your course grade.
Be sure to confine this presentation to 15-20 minutes. Address all components
and follow the scoring rubric since this will be used to determine your grade.
Course outcomes covered in this assignment:
1. Apply principles of teaching and learning to a group of clients with a shared
learning need.
4. Integrate multidisciplinary theoretical and research-based knowledge to
facilitate teaching and learning, health promotion, and behavioral change.
5. Synthesize assessment data to inform development of a teaching plan with
measurable behavioral objectives, teaching methods, and teaching tools.
7. Evaluate the teaching and learning experience to determine achievement of

Graded Assignment
Using your teaching plan from module six as a guide, along with the rubric for
this assignment, develop a teaching presentation to post in the M7D1 (Week 7)
discussion area to share with your peers and also to submit to the
assignment submission area by the assignment due date for grading.
For this assignment you will develop a 15-20 minute teaching presentation
such as a power point, brochure/trifold, poster, or power point with voice
over using the teaching plan from module six. Include all the following
information:
Topic Related:
1. Identify the Healthy People 2020 goal related to your health promotion
topic.

2. Reflect the primary or secondary cultural characteristics within the
presentation with specific consideration related to the client group to meet
their learning needs.
Critical Thinking:
1. Incorporate the 2-3 behavioral objectives you previously selected that the
client group will learn from the presentation.
2. Consider and show evidence of the learning domain as to why and how it
will be utilized in the teaching presentation.
Learning Content:
1. Describe and display the researched information logically with discussion of
the health promotion topic in relation to the goal.
2. Utilize the method of instruction that was described in the teaching plan and
stay within the time limit. Explain and/or justify any changes that might have
to be made to meet the learners’ need.
3. Present the selected teaching tools used to convey the content to the client
group.
4. Identify and properly cite the evidence-based resources used for the
teaching presentation.
5. Present evaluation methods used (post-test, observation of return
demonstration).
Presentation and Reflection: Submit this part of the assinment to the M7D2
(Week 8) discussion forum no later than the Wednesday after the assignment
due date. If it is submitted late a zero will be given for this section, which is 20%
of the assignment grade.
1. Develop a well written, visually attractive professional presentation that
engages the learner(s).
2. Create an evaluation form to distribute to your learners for feedback the
presentation.
3. Present the power point, brochure, poster, or power point with voice
to the selected client group of individuals if possible or as an in-
service at work to co-workers, educational session for a church
group, YMCA, etc.).

4. Have the individuals complete the evaluation form you created, so you can
complete this assignment.
5. Write and submit a summary of the evaluations received following the
presentation. Describe the personal/professional benefits achieved from
completing this assignment and submit to the M7D2 (Week 8) discussion
forum by the Wednesday following the assignment due date.

Late Submission of Assignments

Submissions received more than 5 days late may be awarded a zero for the
assignment.
Grading
The paper will be graded using the teaching presentation rubric.
