Write a short paper comparing the sacred texts of the Rig Veda and the Torah by answering these questions:
How do these texts reflect their respective cultures?
What key differences are apparent, and what common universal themes can be gleaned from their teachings?
Use outside sources if necessary. Be sure to include a citations page. Be sure to access, and to cite, actual passages from both the Rig Veda and Torah. 1 page in length

Compare Han and Rome
Provide a snapshot of Ancient Rome and the Han Dynasty. Why were they so important, and how was power manifested in both? What ultimately led to the decline of these important societies in antiquity? 1/2 page in length

Select a work of art in any form (painting, architecture, sculpture, or literature) from one of the following eras: Prehistoric, Ancient Egyptian, or Mesopotamian. Ensure that your choice was created in the time frames identified here. It should not simply be a depiction of something in this time period. In your essay, discuss at least two ways in which your selected work of art illustrates or reveals the beliefs, values, or ideas significant to its culture. (What can the work of art “tell us” about the people who created it and what was important to them?) 1/2 page in length.
