Presentation Instructions
Now it is time to use all the research and writing skills you’ve developed and create a Presentation that will be shared in the discussions for classmates to view on your topic.
Tasks:
Answer in your presentation the following questions:
What is the topic of your paper and what is the time period? What else was going on in World History at that time?
Why was your topic important? What were the consequences of your topic?
How did contemporary people think about your topic?
What are the significant events relating to your topic? Include a timeline
What are the most important sources we have on your topic?
How do people today think about your topic?
Include images that you cite.
Remember to be very descriptive.
The Presentation may use any tool you would like including but not limited to U-tube, Power Point, and Prezi. The presentation should have visual elements, be well organized, and answer the basic questions provided in number 1. Citation is required to be submitted with the assignment.
Submit your completed assignment to the Discussions by the scheduled due date for your classmates to view and provide feedback on. Be sure to leave feedback for two of your classmates as well. This is not an optional discussion.
Available Presentation Technologies:
Prezi (http://prezi.com)
Prezi is an online tool used to create dynamic, non-linear presentations on an infinite canvas. Prezi is, in many cases, used as a creative alternative to PowerPoint, and can be a lot of fun to make.
If you choose to use Prezi you will create your presentation online on the Prezi website. You will then use a screen capture tool such as CamStudio to record your computer screen and record audio from your computer microphone as you deliver your presentation as though you were in front of an audience.
You will end up with a single video file of your presentation, which you will upload to Photobucket. This will provide you with a link which you can copy and paste into discussion forums or dropboxes to deliver your presentation to the instructor and your classmates.
PowerPoint
With PowerPoint you will create traditional presentation slides to deliver your information.
If you choose to use PowerPoint you will create your PowerPoint on your computer, and then you will use a screen capture tool such as CamStudio to record your computer screen and audio of you giving the presentation and record audio from your computer microphone as you deliver your presentation as though you were in front of an audience.
You will end up with a single video file of your presentation, which you will upload to Photobucket. This will provide you with a link which you can copy and paste into discussion forums or dropboxes to deliver your presentation to the instructor and your classmates.
Video
If you have a webcam on your computer, or access to a video camera, you can choose to record yourself giving your presentation in a traditional format, as though you were speaking in front of the class.
You will end up with a single video file of your presentation, which you will upload to Photobucket. This will provide you with a link which you can copy and paste into discussion forums or dropboxes to deliver your presentation to the instructor and your classmates.
You may also propose any other delivery method that meets the presentation requirements. If it is approved by your instructor in your proposal you may use it in your final presentation.
