•    applied psychology and behaviorism (use) John B. Watson
•    psychoanalytic movement  (use) Sigmund Freud
•    contemporary movements  (use) James Mark Baldwin
In your paper, be sure to address the following:
•    Describe the philosophical assumptions about the causes for human behavior, which underlie each theory.
•    Compare the viewpoint of each thinker.
•    Describe the impact of those ideas on the history and current trends in psychology.
•    Discuss whether the personalistic or naturalistic approach, or both, account for the importance of this person’s contribution to the history of psychology.
•    Finally, prepare a summary in which you evaluate the personalistic and naturalistic approach to understanding the history of psychology.
Your paper should be well organized and contain an introduction, clear sections related to each theorist, a summary, conclusions, and a reference section.

Support your paper with reference to at least one original source for each thinker and one other scholarly resource for each thinker. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate

scholarly resources may be included.
