How do family members and/or friends perceive their role in supporting undergraduate students through their studies

Order Description

The purpose of this assignment is to:
1. Present the results of your data analysis. This should follow the format of a ‘Results’ section of a qualitative research journal article (you have now read examples of these in the topic eReadings).
2. Provide evidence of your interviews and data analysis by attaching your analysed transcripts and facesheets as appendices.

Assignment criteria
? Write 500 words addressing the following criteria:
• Identify 3 key themes from your data
• Summarise the key themes fluently, in your own words and in paragraph format. Draw together summaries of what participants said in relation to the themes – they may have said similar things about the theme, or there may be contradictions and contrasts between what the participants said. Do not list themes from each interview separately.
• Use appropriate and relevant quotes from your transcripts to illustrate each of the key themes. There is no limit to the number of quotes that can be used, but look at published journal articles to see what is the normal ‘balance’ between author description and use of quotes.
• Look at examples of Results sections from the journal articles in the reading list as a guide for writing and structure styles.
• You can choose to use subheadings for the three themes if you like.
• No referencing is required in this section (drawing links back to the literature and theories comes in the Discussion section of the Major Assignment).
• Remember that this will form the ‘Results’ section of your final assignment so you will get feedback on how to improve it for the Major Assignment
• Write in past tense
• Word limit is 500 wds +/- 10% THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE QUOTES FROM TRANSCRIPTS.
? Attach all your completed interview facesheets and transcripts . These are non-graded, but they are an essential component to pass the assignment as they provide evidence that you have carried out the essential steps in the data collection and analysis.process.
