How socio-economic factors affect educational quality

What causes some of the correlations between a family’s class background and the quality of education a child is likely to receive? You might also consider why should we care about the impact of class structure on our educational system. You will present your argument about the relationship between the quality of a public school and its location within the American class structure by placing your own educational experience in class context. How has your own educational experience been influenced by the socio-economic context of your home community and high school?
