Choose up to 3 topics in the textbook. Find as aspect of the topic or topics, which is NOT covered in detail in the textbook or perhaps not covered at all. Do a

literature review on these less familiar aspects, using about 15-20 academic references altogether. Then explain the practical implications of your research to

managers, candidates or others involved in hiring staff.

Note: This assignment requires you to investigate additional sources beyond those referred to in the textbook. Assignments that simply summarise fairly basic

information will not receive a high mark. The idea is for you to go to academic sources (Google Scholar) and find out about the most recent research, debates, or even

scandals about your selected issue/s. Then use what you find out to explain to a line manager (i.e. a non-specialist) the hiring implications of what you have found

out for what is important he or she can learn from this.
