English in the workplace

The world is currently a global village. People from different parts of the world are moving into countries and states that they would not have been able to access albeit for the process of globalisation. Even though globalisation has many perks including connecting people, it also has its challenges. Jenks (165) identifies one of these challenges as language barrier. English is in many countries the official language. However, there are countries that do not use English. Such individuals, therefore, suffered when they move to English speaking countries, or others, and find that English is the work language.
