HYPOTHESIS CONFIRMATION

Taking intro to LOGIC course and I need this paper to have many of its terms and definitions.
Demonstrate the use of one or more of the confirmation of hypothesis argument forms to confirm a hypothesis from your program of study.

A Guide to the Hypothesis Confirmation Presentation

Present a paper of your Hypothesis Confirmation Presentation: Here are some things to think about for your Hypothesis Confirmation.

You are asked to pick an example from your profession or program of study (Human Resources or Business) and using LOGIC terms and material, present a hypothesis and how you might confirm it.
You might follow an outline like this:

Introduction
Statement of the hypothesis
Definition of terms
Method(s) used to confirm the hypothesis.
Summary and conclusion.

EXAMPLE!
Many in class are pursuing an Information Technology (IT) program.  Let’s take a simple example from the world of IT.  Suppose you are working a Help Desk and suddenly you receive an abnormal number of calls from customers who cannot access your company’s web site.  Your job is to identify the source of the problem.  One hypothesis might be that your company’s server has crashed.  What other (auxiliary) hypothesis would be true if the server crashed?  What observable prediction would be true if the hypothesis and auxiliary hypotheses are true?  An alternative hypothesis might be that a network failure.  What observable predictions would be true if the network failed?  Using an example such as this, you should present your own case.  The example can be a real-life example or even a fictitious example.  The key is to illustrate how you confirm your hypothesis.

Use clearly defined terms:  Make sure to define terms that your audience might not be familiar with.  Do not assume that your audience knows your subject matter.
Avoids any ambiguity or lack of clarity in the presentation.

Distinguish facts from judgments:  Make sure that the evidence you present to support your solution is reliable evidence and not just unsubstantiated opinion.

Present sound arguments using reliable evidence to support all conclusions:  Remember, a sound argument draws a valid conclusion from good evidence.  In this case, your hypothesis confirmation should be supported by the evidence your present.  Make sure to defend your approach and presentation based upon what your learned from the reading material and your experience with the your topic.

Create an effective and persuasive  presentation:  Make sure your presentation is clear to your audience.

Write coherently to support a central idea in appropriate format with correct grammar, usage, and mechanics:  Perform spell and grammar check, document your resources, and proof-read your work.
