I would like a paper on global leadership. Instructions are given on uploaded file (final assignment) however since there is some personal reflections put into I need to write a little about myself so you can write the paper
-The feedback to your group : even if at first i was uncomfortable stating what could they change in the future to make the presentation better in the end i found it was a good way to communicate even if we didn’t want the confrontation
– The feedback that you received from your other group members
– What did you learn about receiving and giving feedback? It taught me how communication is important and how I can actually improve myself by hearing what my team members have to say which I found very helpful for the future.
-Two of the facilitated cases : i would want you to choose “mekong capital” and “managing a global team”
At least one other case : Shackleton case (leadership)
-A consideration of our discussion regarding the “Dark side” of leadership : we watched a documentary about people’s temple leaded by Jim Jones
_Final course simulation : everest harvard simulation game : I was the physicist of my group, we functioned very well as a group however it was very hard to take decisions all together especially the fact that my job was to accomplish certain goals while needing to be with all the group members at all time since I was the one with the medical supplies. Towards the end when we were most of us in the camp 3, although we were all in weak condition we decided to move up to camp 4 and although I felt that it wasn’t a good idea for me I moved up because all of my team members were weak and moved up as well, by taking the risk of doing this I actually was the only one who got rescued and sent back to base camp which I knew would happen, I felt it. The big issue I realised about myself during this game is instead of trusting my instinct and secure the help I could give in long term I wanted to help my team so badly that I ended up taking a decision i knew was a risk and ending up leaving them in the summit and go back to the beginning in base camp.

A consideration of the kind of leader you would like to be : A leader that people respect and admire but at the same time feel comfortable enough to come talk to when there’s an issue. I think communication is very important in order to be a good leader and create a healthy culture within a company. I would want to see my team always productive and hardworking not because they feel obliged to do it but because they love the company and are loyal and dedicated to it. A little bit like in Wolf of wall street (without the scams) or Apple, where people are proud and happy to be part of those companies.

Consideration of your personality and the personalities of your classmates and group members : It was a perfect mix between introverts and extroverts. Although I am normally more of an extrovert when it comes to presenting in class I get a lot shyer and lose my calm. Where as other team members would feel much more comfortable during presentation but not necessarily in everyday life which i found very interesting. This mix and differences of personalities helped us complete each other in a way and make one another feel more comfortable when we would prepare the presentation or present.
