illicit and legal drugs

This is a two part assignment

Part 1.There are a huge number of illicit and legal drugs available. Usually positive effects are followed by negative effects but the degree or severity of each depend upon many factors such as: concentration, duration of use, synergistic chemical interactions and the health and state of mind of the user. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction

Select a drug. Post the name of the drug in your subject line so everyone can easily see what has been taken. Do a bit of online or book research to describe the drug along with potential positive and negative effects on the body. GIVE YOUR INTERNET SOURCES PLEASE. Please do not copy and paste from the Internet. Instead, summarize the information in sentence format….so that other students can quickly read it. If you must quote from the internet, please put the information into quotation marks and give the internet source.

WHICH PERSON WILL BE DRIVING HOME? (HOPEFULLY):
——————————————————————————————————————
SAMPLE ANSWER: (To show calculations)
GENDER: male
WEIGHT: 190
FOOD: Green salad, 8 oz steak, baked potato, green beans, onion rings = full meal
NUMBER OF DRINKS: 5 shots
HOW MANY HOURS HAS THIS PERSON BEEN DRINKING: 2 hour
BLOOD ALCOHOL % (FROM CHART): Between 0.03 and 0.04 for approximately 0.035%
ELIMINATION RATE: 0.015 %/hour x 2 hours = 0.03
FINAL BLOOD ALCOHOL % = 0.035 – 0.03 = 0.005%
DRIVING RISK: none
BEHAVIOR: Normal to a bit more talkative and perhaps a touch obnoxious but not dangerous. Due to the large meal and alcohol perhaps a bit sleepy or tired since the energy of the body is now diverted to the digestive process. Without a meal this person will have a blood alcohol level of (0.075 – 0.03 = 0.045%) is not as safe with respect to driving and had 1-2 x more risk (or slight) of getting into an accident.
