Health Promotion campaign (2000words)
Students are required to produce a 2000 word Health Promotion Campaign. The campaign should answer the following question:
Imagine you are a health promotion officer for your local health service. Write a report detailing a health promotion campaign you have designed for the target audience of your choice.
Please choose ONE target population from the list below:
• Young children in schools
• Young athletes
• Inactive adults
• Those with or at high risk of chronic disease
Please choose ONE lifestyle management factor to improve in your target population:
o physical activity
o healthy diet
o positive mental health
Your report should include:
• A justification as to why you have chosen this particular population i.e. the need for this particular health promotion intervention in this group (use research to support this)
• Detail on what the content of your campaign will be i.e. how it aims to improve ONE of the above lifestyle management factors in this population and how you will implement this campaign in your chosen population
• Justification for why you chose this particular campaign for this particular group
• Acknowledgement of the barriers to implementing this campaign
• What you would need to evaluate in this campaign and why
• Adequate critique of the campaign
